Inter-Campus Curriculum Review
Because of the innovations and trends in the society, there is a need for a constant
review of the curriculum based on feedback gathered from students, teachers and alumni.
The curriculum must also be aligned with the re-articulated philosophy, mission and
vision of the school.
The 115 participants to the inter-campus review held on May 17-20, 2004 at the PSHS Main
campus were composed of faculty members who are subject specialists in the areas they represent,
CISD chiefs and campus directors.
The teachers from the different campuses sat together by subject area to do the vertical
articulation of their respective subjects and came up with the Scope and Sequence grid.
Each group had invited a resource person to guide them in the development of the scope and sequence.
A horizontal articulation across the different subject areas was also undertaken to identify
areas of integration. After the two articulations, the campuses worked in pairs to craft the
appropriate Curriculum Framework.
The CISD Chiefs wrapped up the activity by ironing out some details presented and came
up with the Draft Curriculum Framework which was disseminated to the campuses for
comments and recommendations.
